PYRITE

Pyrtite is also known as fools gold, because it looks so much like gold that prospectors often tried to turn it in for money on;y to find out it was worthless.

Pyr means "fire" in greek which is appropriate because it lets off sparks when struck with steel. Pyrite is an ecellent good luck charm. Place it in a mojo bag and take it with you gambling, you may find it brings you money.

Rub Pyrite on your money to make it boomerang back to you. It's mirrored surface can be used for divination and they are said to awaken psychic impulses. It also creates a better bond between the concious and unconscious mind. This means you will be able to remember your dreams more easily and consistently. It can help you learn a new task easier because it stimulates the centers of the brain for memory and recollection.

Because of pyrites reflective surface it is said to reflect negative energy back to the person or item causing it. It keeps out pollutants from the body and can protect a persons emotional state as well.

CARNELIAN

     Carnelian is a reddish orange stone and often comes in it's polished form. It's a birthstone in May, June, and August depending on what culture you come from. Carnelian is a working woman's stone. It helps a woman to rise above her male counterparts, and gives her more confidence and sense of self worth. Perfect for a female boss or CEO, carnelian helps a woman keep her higher position.

     Carnelian is great for giving an extra boost of energy. Keep one at your job or in your bathroom for that little extra pick me up. It encourages an insecure person to break out of their shell and expierence life. It protects from bad vibrations and is a wonderful filter for electromagnetic energy that can wear a person down. Placed near a computer it can help block those radio and electric waves from affecting your aura. Carnelian also encourages a sense of humor. I call it a giggle stone, because it's energy encourages laughter and fun. Besides creating laughter Carnelian can also diffuse a bad temper.

Carnelian is an excellent guard against poverty. Place it near a piggy bank or along with your bank books and it's subtle energy will encourage you to save money rather then spend it.

Be careful though Carnelian should not be kept near a dieter as it is said to increase the appititite!

You know they always say you can catch more flies with honey. (As in be nice and you will have more friends It  also attracts those horse flies that bite and make you bleed and who wants those kind of people around?

1. Hand caught in a tree shredder.
2. Eaten by starving weasels.
3. Falling out of a plane with no parachute.
4. Touching a fence just to realize it's electric.
5. Stung by jellyfish.

Why do they call it a kitchen? Every other place is a room. Bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room, etc... Why not call it what it actually is...the cooking room?

One man's trash may be another mans treasure, but I am not diving into that dumpster for that lamp from the 70's, I don't care how cute it is!

Obsidian is a stone...that isn't a stone at all. It's actually a form of glass made from lava from a volocano. It is often black, but does come in brown and a rainbow variety that gives off rainbow colors in the sun. (Rainbow obsidian is the rarest type of obsidian)

Obsidian helps to protect the very sensitive against depression. It is the stone of the soft hearted and gentle people of the world. Use obsidian to help block negativity of any kind. As a black gemstone, it symbolizes self control and a sense of hardiness against whatever may be thrown at you.

 Obsidian is a truth telling stone. It's not easy to tell a lie in the pressence of this stone and it can bring up things that you previously would never have talked about. I recommend using this stone with caution.

 Snowflake Obsidian is a stone of purity. It balances mind body and spirit.

It is more subtle then it's cousin and eases painful emotions out rather then forcing them out. Placed on the heart chakra, snowflake obsidian will calm and soothe and allow you to view unhealthy patterns in your own behaviour. It can cause you to consider changing your neagtive patterns to more healthy ones.
