Amethyst is one of my favorite stones. It is a dark-light purple stone. It is one of the easiest stones to find and often comes in a large crystal arrangement that you can place auround your house. It is also easy to make into jewelry and can be worn on bracelets and necklaces as beads or polished stones.

Amethyst is great for clearing your third eye chakra (located directly in the middle of your forehead). Placing this stone on your third eye can help alleviate headaches, encourage communication with your spirit guides, and may also allow you to speak to ghosts and spirits. It is a great stone for tarot readers to place with thier cards as it can help them read them with more clarity. Amethyst placed by a childs bedside has the same affect as a dreamcatcher in that it filters out bad dreams and nightmares.  Placing an amethyst in each corner of your living room can help keep disputes to a minimum and can create an environment of harmony and open communication.

Placing an amethyst on your desk at work creates a productive work envionment and encourages communication. It also blocks some of the electronic energy from your computer from affecting you. Use alongside a clear Quartz crystal and a hematite stone. This combo blocks all negative electronic energy from you and your aura. Try it and you may find you are less tired at the end of the day!
